Alexa Scanziani

Alexa Scanziani — Founder of AlexArt International Art Gallery

Alexa Scanziani is the founder of AlexArt International and a lifelong observer of art, culture, and human stories. Born and raised in Milan, Italy, she grew up surrounded by significant European artworks collected by her grandparents — an environment that shaped her visual sensitivity from an early age.

Driven by intellectual curiosity and global exploration, she left Italy at 21 on full academic scholarships to study in the United States, attending Mount Holyoke College and Harvard University. She began a career as an international reporter and photographer, contributing to publications including The New York Times and Il Corriere della Sera.

More than two decades of journalism and travel deepened her engagement with art, music, and cultural narratives — perspectives that later informed her curatorial vision.

After marrying artist Fabio Dal Boni in 2002 and raising their family, Alexa relocated to Sarasota, Florida, in 2014. Recognizing the city’s vibrant cultural landscape, she founded AlexArt International in 2015 — establishing a gallery defined by strong artistic voices, luminous color exploration, and international dialogue.

Alongside her curatorial role, Alexa presents works shaped by her lifelong love of music and botanical forms.
