Guido Borelli

Guido Borelli | Italian Contemporary Painter | AlexArt International

Guido Borelli is an Italian contemporary painter internationally recognized for his refined realism and poetic interpretation of Italian landscapes and architecture. Born in Caluso, Italy, at the foothills of the Alps, he discovered painting at an early age and developed his artistic discipline through rigorous academic training at the Accademia Albertina in Turin.

Borelli’s work is rooted in observation and memory. Rather than reproducing reality directly, he transforms lived experience into a personal visual language, painting what remains in his mind after the moment has passed. His compositions balance technical mastery with emotional sensitivity, capturing light, atmosphere, and the quiet harmony of places shaped by time.

Influenced by early 20th-century Italian masters such as Boldini and De Nittis, Borelli works exclusively in oil on canvas, employing a meticulous process refined through decades of daily practice. His paintings depict Venetian canals, coastal villages, Tuscan landscapes, and northern Italian architecture, infused with warmth, serenity, and a deep love for nature.

His work has been exhibited worldwide and is held in private collections across Europe and the United States. Today, Borelli is widely regarded as a master of contemporary Italian realism, admired for both his technical excellence and his timeless, evocative imagery.
